Well it’s official! Firefox 3.0 has been released today. You can expect an improved interface, massive speed improvements since 2.x, rendering (speed, HTML, CSS, etc.) improvements, more secure, and many more! You can download it at the Mozilla web site.

Today is also Download day for Firefox. They are trying to set a Guinness World record for the most software downloaded within 24 hours. If you would like to participate in the download day special, you can submit a pledge on the Spread Firefox web site and then download the browser, it just takes a couple minutes of your time! The special event only lasts until 17:00 UTC on June 18, 2008.
